June 27, 2015 This race has always been on the radar. Ever since I heard of it back in ’06 or ’07. I even tried it on a bum hammy in 2008, limping in to the 40 mile aid station, Slumgullion, in about 12.5 hours before dropping there. My memories from that first attempt were terrible. The representation of God in running 100 miles First of all, there are more similarities between one’s walk with God and training for 100 miles than most would imagine. Training is prayer, preparing oneself for those challenges in life through communion and community with the Holy Trinity. Prayer strengthens that relationship with our Lord.
